July 13, 2019 – Wattpad, Radish, and Birds of a Feather

Morning Session: Wattpad and Radish

Are you curious about serial fiction platforms like Wattpad and Radish? Get the inside story and find out if this is a publishing path that’s right for you.  As an author who has stories  under contract to both Radish and Wattpad, Phyllis will answer the following questions and more:

•       What are Wattpad and Radish?
•       How do these platforms work?
•       Can authors interact with readers?
•       How do I become a Wattpad or Radish author?
•       What kind of stories work on these platforms?
•       Is writing serial fiction different than writing a novel?
•       What are the pros and cons, compared to traditional or indie publishing?
•       What is the new Wattpad Paid Stories Program all about?
•       How to authors get paid on Radish?
•       Who are the readers and how do I grow an audience?
•       What about crossover?

Join us at the TARA meeting and get the answers to all your questions about these exciting new platforms!

Phyllis Towzey

Phyllis Towzey writes contemporary romance, serial fiction, and thrillers under the name Jane Peden. Her first book – The Millionaire’s Unexpected Proposal – was published by Entangled Publishing in 2015. She has also published with a small press, and currently publishes serial fiction with both Wattpad and Radish. Recently, she was one of the authors selected for newly launched Wattpad Paid Stories Program.

Phyllis has been a member of TARA since 1999, and is a three-time winner of the TARA contest. She previously served on the TARA Board and has held numerous volunteer positions in the chapter.  Phyllis is an attorney practicing in St. Pete, where she lives with her husband Dave and their dog Eli. Her kids – who used to sit in the back of the room coloring during TARA meetings – are now grown, which gives her a bit more time to devote to writing.
