TARA Meetings

March 14, 2020 – Rhonda Penders and Sharon Belcastro Seminar Registration

The hows and whys of submitting to publishers and agents

Rhonda Penders, Publisher, The Wild Rose Press, and Sharon Belcastro, Belcastro Literary Agent will present what a publisher and an agent look for from an author and the how and why to get published.

Where should your story start? What grabs the attention of an editor or agent, as well as readers, in the first few pages of a book? During their workshop, Rhonda and Sharon will take the first three pages of volunteers’ manuscripts and read them out loud and gently critique them. With help from the audience, they will discuss what the author can do to strengthen the story. They will also take pitches of manuscripts throughout the day.

Visitors are welcome and encouraged to attend.
